Plot

Laurel lost her daughter ten years ago. After stating she was going to the library, Ellie Mack, was never seen or heard from again.

Throughout those ten years, Laurel was unable to move on. The failure to have the closure she so desperately needed was causing her to be a shell of herself. Until Floyd walked into her life.

Floyd was charming, and attentive, and brought out feelings in Laurel that she hadn’t felt in ten years. However, Floyd was keeping his own secrets. Secrets that very well could upend Laurel’s life all over again. Would she finally get the closure she so desperately needed? Would her family be able to move on, and move on together?

Review

For starters, this book was amazing. Suspenseful with a heart-wrenching mystery that was sure to leave you on the edge of your seat. Finishing this book in one night, was not because I had nothing better to do, it was just that good.

Laurel was such a relatable character. As a mom, I found it difficult to NOT put myself in her shoes. The loss of a child is something every parent dreads, and it was portrayed in such a heartbreaking way. The pain Laurel felt was felt through the pages, making the need for answers prevalent to the readers, as well.
