Review:

Lucy Score is one of my favorite authors, so I might be a tad biased. Her romance books have a way of making the reader become engrossed in the story, to the point where you find yourself awake at 2 a.m. not wanting to put the book down. That is exactly what happened with Maggie Moves On.

I loved the main characters, Maggie and Silas. Maggie is practical. She lives her life through lists and “what if” scenarios. Silas is her complete opposite. He lives in the now, making spontaneous choices and living a life he can be proud of with zero regrets.

This book shows you how these two types of people and personalities can come together and not only complement one another, but truly make the other person better without changing who they are. I think that is what I like the most about this book. A lot of the time, we see stories where one character changed themselves for the other, and I don’t find that healthy or realistic. This book took the approach of having two fundamentally different 5 showing what it takes to make a relationship work.

Out of all of Lucy Score’s books, is this one my favorite? I think that the top spot will still be reserved for the Knockemout series, but this one definitely is up there.

If you are looking for a fun read with quirky characters, a chunky mud-loving dog, and lots of love, this is the book for you!
